Mary Ellen Hackett Yocom, 68, of Canton, passed away at 4:05 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 27, 1953 in Canton, IL to Gilbert “Doc” and Florencele (Dowler) Hackett. She married Robert “Bob” Yocom in September 2001. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2017.
She is also preceded in death by her parents.
Mary Ellen is survived by one son, Jeremy Hackett of Canton; one granddaughter, Adaleigh Hackett; and two brothers, Ike (Linda) Hackett and Lee (Nancy) Hackett.
She was an office manager at Locks and Velde GMC in Pekin for many years and she loved being a grandma.
Per Mary Ellen's wishes there will be no services at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL.
