Eric Bryon Hale

Bartonville- Eric Bryon Hale, 73, of Bartonville, formerly of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 11:12 AM on Friday, August 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 28, 1948 in Princeton, Indiana, a son of Willis and Jessie (Mason) Hale. He married Vickie Wilcoxen on April 8, 1978 in Mt. Vernon. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Trevor (Rob) Hale of Pekin; Collin (Sara) Hale of Bartonville; two grandchildren, Sydney and Kalynn; two brothers, Alan Hale of Mt. Vernon; Rex Hale of Tremont, and two sister-in-laws, Cindy Schoenheider of Toulon; Laurie Goodwin of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Leon Hale.

Eric graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University, and later with a master’s degree from College of St. Francis, he worked as a Senior Rehabilitation Counselor with the State of Illinois for 25 plus years, retiring in 2015. He served his country during the Vietnam War, serving with the United States Air Force.

A celebration of life service will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at his son, Trevor’s Residence, 2607 North Parkway Drive, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
