St. David – Jack D. Draper Jr., 70, of St. David, passed away at 8:45 AM on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 5, 1949 in Canton to Jack D. and Ruby Mae (Arnett) Draper. He married Cheryl L. Schultz on December 29, 1967 in Joliet, IL, she survives.
Also surviving are four children, Sara Draper of St. David, Wendy (Rick Jr.) Hamm of Delavan, Jenny (Jon) Hines of St. David, and John (Shaundra) Draper of Bryant; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Patty (Mike) Franzoni of Canton.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda.
Jack worked as a truck driver for 30 years and also as a mechanic at Morton Truck Center for 16 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Canton. Jack was a member of the Lewistown Mason Lodge 104 and was Master Mason.
Jack served as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War for the United States Air Force.
Memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton where a visitation will be from 5-7 PM. Chaplin Scot Shelburne will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to the Greater Peoria Area Honor Flight.
