Sherry Leigh (Bull) Spangler

Canton – Sherry was born January 2, 1957 and passed away October 29, 2018.  Sherry was the daughter of Donald and Betty (Huggins) Bull who preceded her in death along with a brother Donald Roy Bull who left behind two sons, Justin Bull now deceased and Jeremy bull surviving.  Sherry’s husband also preceded her in death Bruce Spangler.
Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Haley along with a sister Sheila Ogle and great number of cousins.  Rhonda (John/Chuck) Lemon who were cousins by blood but sisters in spirit.  They have been her caregivers since April along with her daughter Michelle.  Sherry is also the grandmother (Gramm Gramm) to her two grandchildren Kalynn and Macy Haley which Sherry lived for their relationship.
Sherry Spangler served as a second generation in the Army from January 22, 1982 to January 21, 1985.  She was employed by the United States Postal Service in Peoria for twenty years and was a member of the Heart of Illinois Local #854 American Postal Workers Union.
Some viewed Sherry as a red headed, stubborn ball of fire while others who knew her well could see through that rough exterior to her kind and loving heart, her great sense of humor, her love of animals (especially her two cats) and her love and respect for nature.  Her favorite times were spent outdoors with her grandchildren and other family/friends.  Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton are in charge of arrangements.
There will be a celebration of live on Sunday, December 2nd at 1st Nazarene Church in Canton at 3:00 pm.  Memorials can be made to “The Spangler Grandchildren Trust” or to the Fulton County Humane Society.  To make online condolences please go to www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
