Farmington – Eddie Meeks, 75, of Farmington, passed away at 7:20 PM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Farmington Country Manor. He was born on September 7, 1943 in Burlington, IA to Paul and Margaret (Hasten) Meeks. He married Cinda “Cindy” Lou Kimbrell on October 16, 1965 at the Farmington United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2018.
Eddie was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne Meeks.
Surviving are two children, Kathy (Jeff) McVey of Farmington and Kevin (Tammy) Meeks of Farmington; four grandchildren, Kristina and Melissa McVey and Tiffany and Brittany Meeks.
Eddie worked as a drill operator at Caterpillar. He attended Farmington United Methodist Church. Eddie collected trains and was a very talented painter.
Private graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Rev. Walter Carlson will officiate.
