She was born on February 28, 1949, in Canton, to John and Gladys (Long) Hurley. They preceded her in death.
She married Gale Smith on August 15, 1968, in Bryant. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2014.
She is survived by two children, Tina (Scott) Friend of Bath and Shelly (Jeff) Murphy of Silvis, one brother Terry (Joyce) Hurley of Lewistown, one sister, Margaret (the late Ed) Bordwine of Bryant, five grandchildren, Banks Murphy, Taylor Murphy, Tori Friend, Reid Murphy, and Tayden Friend, and several nieces and nephews.
Pat worked at Edwards Bridal in Canton; she later was co-owner of House of Brides in Lewistown. She enjoyed many years of helping brides and young ladies prepare for their special day. Later in life she also worked for Cuba School District. Pat also worked for Cuba School District as a cook in the kitchen. Pat enjoyed baking, cooking, puzzles, and her monthly Bunko group. Most of all Pat enjoyed time with her family, and she loved being the world’s best “MiMi” to her grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Maryville Cemetery in Bryant.
Memorials may be made to the family for a future donation to different organization that were special to Pat.
