She was born November 6, 1945 at Canton the daughter of Ralph A. and Isabel (McKean) Munson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, and two sisters, Harriett McClaughry, and Esther Lovell. Surviving are one son, Ralph “Drew” Munson of Canton, three grandchildren, Bryce (Ashley), Rylee, and Sawyer Munson, four great grandchildren, Micah, Liam, and Knox Munson, and Jackson Chevalier, and a brother-in-law, Wilbur McClaughry of Cuba.
Laura graduated from Cuba High School in 1963. She worked at the Canton Daily Ledger for over 20 years and then at the Fulton County Courthouse assessor’s office retiring after 17 years. Laura was a member of the Cuba Christian Church where she was an Elder Emeritus and a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and assisted with the Cuba Food Pantry. Laura enjoyed her dog Rufus, gardening, growing herbs, and making crafts and pottery.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday April 1st at the Cuba Christian Church with Pastor Mike Arnett officiating. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Fiatt Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Friday March 31st at the Cuba Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Cuba Food Pantry, Cuba Alumni Scholarship Fund, or Cuba Christian Church. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba is assisting the family with arrangements.
