Surviving is her husband, James Haggerty of Elmwood, IL; daughter, Karen (Mark) DeMoulin of Winfield, IL; son, Rodney (Karen) Haggerty of Peoria, IL; daughter, Lynette (Douglas) Hillman of Bartonville, IL; eight grandchildren, Kimberly (James) Harden, David (Whitney) DeMoulin, Ryan (Brittany) Haggerty, Kristin (Mike) Edelstein, Kathryn Haggerty, Drew (Amelia) Hillman, Brooke Hillman, and Kelsey Haggerty; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dale (Shirley) Sill of Dayton, OH.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Kevin Wayne Haggerty, who died when he was 4 ½ years old.
She was a music teacher and played piano and organ at various churches throughout her life. She was a secretary at American Pest Control for over 30 years. She attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, IL for many years. She was a Sunday school teacher and volunteered in public schools and The Christian Center in Peoria. She was a strong faithful Christian woman who loved God and her family more than anything else. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM the same day. Colleen’s nephews, Pastors Scott and Ritch Boerckel, will officiate. Burial will follow at Brunswick Cemetery in rural Trivoli, IL.
