He was born on November 25, 1928, in Chandlerville to Dennis and Alma (Blair) Dearing. They preceded him in death along with one daughter Sally Hart and one sister Dona Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Melba (White) Dearing. They were married on March 11, 1950.
Also surviving are two children, Kevin (Jan) Dearing, and Pam (Mike) Hinds, seven grandchildren, Missy, Chris, Heather, Randy, Rhianna, Jeff, and Kyle, and eight great grandchildren, Briar, Brady, Cannon, Alais, Lucas, Jack, Daniel, and Olivia.
Carroll retired from international Harvester in Canton after 35 years of service in 1983. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Canton where he helped with the construction of the current church. He enjoyed woodworking hunting and fishing. He loved a refreshing Diet Coke, and he never knew a stranger and possessed the “gift of gab”. He loved the Lord and will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A funeral service will beheld on Friday March 31, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Temple Baptist Church in Canton. Visitation will be held two hours prior 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the church.
Burial will immediately follow the services at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
