June Davenport

June Davenport, 87, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital, in Havana, at 2:23 a.m., on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born June 8, 1935, in Liverpool Township, Fulton County, to Thomas and Bernice (Miller) Weaver. She married William Davenport on June 14, 1953, in Havana. He survives.

Mrs. Davenport is survived by her husband, William, of Havana, one son: Anthony “Tony” Davenport, of Havana; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Steve) Davenport-Fornoff, of Havana; as well as four grandchildren: Kyle (Katie) Davenport, Travis (Rachel) Davenport, Ty Fornoff and Will Davenport; and two great-grandchildren, Myles and Klay Davenport; special niece, Lisa Dietsch, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Thomas and Timothy Davenport; sisters, Emma Lou Kirsch and Darlene Johnson; and four brothers: Lyle Fouts, Pershing Weaver, Forest Weaver and Norris “Goog” Weaver.

Mrs. Davenport was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana. She was an avid golfer. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Illinois Chapter Laureate Zeta, and Bridge Club. She worked as a hairdresser out of her home for many years.

A memorial service will be held at her church on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the services. Fr. Dante Anglin will officiate.
