RosaLee Overcash

RosaLee Overcash, 91, went home to be with Jesus at 7:08 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born November 10, 1929 in Liverpool Township to Ross and Bertha (Jump) Harris.

RosaLee married George W. Overcash in Fairview on June 6, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2014.

She is survived by six children; Terry (John) Lowe of Farmington, Larry (Susan) Overcash of East Peoria, Gloria (John) Davis of Canton, Brenda (John) Baylor of Cuba, Laura (Richard) Sharpshair of Canton, Karla Hulvey of Canton, twenty four grandchildren, Jason Lowe, Matthew (Charmaine) Lowe, Allison (Ryan) Hartstirn, Camille (Mike) Van De Veer, Cameron Overcash, Luke (Erin) Overcash, Ty (Colleen) Overcash, Tess (Stephen) Whiting, Caitlin (fiancé Justin Wilson) Carver, Alexa (fiancé Scott Hoerr) Carver, Beau (Andrea) Carver, Amy (Tim) Marsella, Ashley Davis, Kiley (Cole) Crouse, Sarah (Rick) Harn, Joshua Baylor, Jacob (Elise) Baylor, Nathan (fiancé Brynn Gergovich) Sharpshair, Ryan Sharpshair, Megan Sharpshair, Alyssa (Colin) Gilstrap, Erika Hulvey, Michael Hulvey, Stevie Miller and twenty eight great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Alice Shelby of Lewistown and a niece and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, her son Curtis Overcash, her parents, her brother Russell Harris and grandson Ricky Hulvey.

RosaLee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and "Grandma Great". Her happiest moments were spent with her family. She was an awesome cook and was especially known for her delicious cinnamon rolls and pies. She devoted her life to faithfully parenting and farming with George. They enjoyed many years of wintering in Texas. Throughout their lives they enjoyed big band music and were avid ballroom dancers.

When they married RosaLee became a member of the Fairview Reformed Church, where she was active in the Women's Guild. She enjoyed helping prepare and serve many community group dinners at the church, as well as baking dozens of cinnamon rolls for the church's annual Christmas bazaars. In her later years she attended Maples Mill United Methodist Church, the church she joined as a girl.

A private family funeral service will be held at Foster Cemetery in rural Fairview. There will be no visitation.

Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Maples Mill United Methodist Church.
