Jerry L. Edwards, 87, of Canton, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Canton.
He was born on March 17, 1933 to James and Mabel (Keller) Edwards, in Marble town Illinois. They both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Towery) Edwards, whom he married on August 1, 1953 in Havana.
Also surviving are three sons, Terry Edwards, Rick (Sharon) Edwards, and Brian (Dawn) Edwards, two brothers, Kenneth and Stanley Edwards, seven grandchildren, Nathan, Paul (Cathy), Brittany (Steve), Kaitlyn, Ben (Jeanna), Samantha (Dave), and Michelle (Daniel) and eleven great grandchildren.
Jerry was a truck driver and belonged to the Teamsters Local #627 Union. He retired in 1995.
In his retirement Jerry enjoyed traveling with his camper with his wife Elizabeth and fishing.
Jerry was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, belonging to the Kingdom Hall in Canton.
A private graveside burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
