David L. Breese, 68, of Canton, passed away at 8:20 AM on Monday, December 7, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 11, 1952 in Canton, a son of Ted and Mara Lee (Jarnigan) Breese. He married Gail Beiderwieden on October 5, 1975 in Havana, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, John (Amy) Breese of Oak Forest, IL; April Breese of Winfield, IL; Berry Breese of Canton; four grandchildren, Hannah, Tyler, Breese, and Von; two sisters, Dixie Davis and Penny Breese both of Canton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack and Kenny; and one sister, Carolyn Shepherd.
David worked and retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran, served on the Canton Police Auxiliary and was a dispatcher for the department for many years, and also part of civil defense. He enjoyed woodworking, puzzles, model trains, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, was the love for his family and especially his grandchildren.
