Beverly Joan Evans, 88, of Fairview, passed away at 9:40 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at her residence. She was born on November 28, 1932 in Decatur City, Iowa to Ray and Hazel (Hatfield) McBee. She married Boyd B. Evans on September 12, 1953 in Leon, Iowa, he preceded her in death in 1992.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Helen and Viola, one brother, Charles, and a son-in-law, Artie Kirgan.
Surviving are six children, Lois (David) Bugos, Dennis (Beverly) Evans, Denise Kirgan, Boyd (Angie) Evans, Katherine (Joseph) Blessing, and Laura Evans; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one brother, James.
Joan retired in 1996 from Maytag after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Wiley Lutheran Church. Fairview American Legion Auxiliary Post 644, and the Fairview Women’s Club. Joan loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
