Mr. Wilcoxen is survived by his wife, Heather, of Havana; three children: Collin Wilcoxen and Ryleigh Clements, both of Havana, Joseph Flynn, of Canton; six siblings: Jeff (Krista) Wilcoxen, Tina (Russell) Garski, Tonya Wilcoxen, Erika (Korey) Jacob, Daniel (Sunny) Wilcoxen, Nicki (Pat) Hayes; in-laws, Sharon Daniel and Jim Easley; sisters-in-law: Tara (Brad) Schaub, Jennifer (Brian) Price; brothers-in-law: Greg (Amanda) Daniel, and Ben (Rachel) Daniel; step-mother, Gloria Wilcoxen; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jonna, and father-in-law, Rob Daniel.
Mr. Wilcoxen was a member of the Havana United Methodist Church. He loved fishing, deer hunting, traveling to the beach, and playing “Scuba Steve” in the pool. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. He worked for many years at ADM, in Havana, before starting at Illinois River Correctional Center, in Canton, in 2002. He started as a Corrections Officer, and later transitioned to Supply Supervisor before his retirement in December 2024.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Following the services, there will be a luncheon at VFW Post #6408, in Havana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Havana City Fire and Rescue, Havana Rural Fire Department, or to the Wilcoxen family for an education fund for Ryleigh and Collin.. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
