Adelyn A. Heinhorst, 83, of Forest City, passed away at Carle Methodist Hospital, in Peoria, at 8:04 a.m., on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was born March 3, 1942, in Pekin, Illinois, to Nelson and Mildred (Leinweber) Hiller. She married Ed Heinhorst on September 15, 1963, and was later divorced.Mrs. Heinhorst is survived by two sons: Kenny Heinhorst, and Kurt Heinhorst, both of Forest City; and one brother, Arno (Carol) Hiller, of Manito; and brother-in-law, Fred Friedrich, of Manito. She was preceded in death by her parents and identical twin sister, Adele Friedrich.
Mrs. Heinhorst graduated from Forman High School in 1960. She then attended and graduated from Midstate Business College. After graduation, she worked for LeTourneal, in Peoria. After leaving there, she became a farm wife for the rest of her life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Manito.
Graveside services will be held at Meadowlawn Cemetery, in Manito, at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Rev. Matthew Berndt will officiate.
