Eric Dean Craver

Eric Dean Craver, 67, of London Mills, passed away at 3:00 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at his home. He was born on October 3, 1958 in Galesburg, IL, to George and Sandra (Dunlap) Craver.


He is survived by his parents; one daughter, Erica Craver; one step-son, Dereck Fry; one granddaughter, Malaya Hall; three brothers, Russ Craver, Ron Craver, and Rob (Megan) Craver; one aunt, Sharon Robinson, one nephew, Jared (Amie) Craver, two nieces, Brandy (Caleb) Babcock, Cassie (Seth) Babcock; five great nephews, Cash, Hayes, Owen, Brandon, and Henry; two great nieces, Lemmy and Anna; four best friends, Steve Hahn, Jake Morrey, Marvin Mitchell, and Lennie Ulm; life time friend, Penny Fry; and several special cousins.


He is preceded in death by his grandma, Lucile (Frank) Craver; maternal grandparents, Louise (Denzil) Dunlap; one aunt, Sallye; best friend, Arty Turner; and beloved dog, Mugzie.


Eric worked for Gunther Products, Alcoa, and Caterpillar. He went to school at Spoon River Valley. He enjoyed going fishing at Spoon River, coin collecting, moral mushroom hunting, riding Harley motorcycles and hand fishing with his dog Mugzie. His favorite movie was Apocalypse. His favorite quote from that movie was, “Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right, unless you were going all the way. He also enjoyed reading tractor magazines. He was loved by all.


Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Graveside service will be held at 12:15 PM at  East Midway Cemetery in London Mills, IL. Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. Memorials may be made to London Mills United Methodist Church, St. Jude’s, or Fulton County Humane Society.
