Preceding Duane in death were his parents.
Duane worked and retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 42 years of service, where he had many great memories of those years. He enjoyed planting a garden of vegetables, and fruits for many years, and working in the yard was his hobby. Duane was past president of the Peoria Chicago Cubs Boosters Club, as he enjoyed many trips to Chicago to watch the Chicago Cubs. Snowmobiling was also high on the list of things he enjoyed, snowmobiling in Alaska, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as well as many trips to Wisconsin. Duane and his son, Brian enjoyed snowmobiling together & traveled with a tour group from Wisconsin. One of the happiest memories was enjoying a trip to Disney World with his grandchildren, whom were very special, and he loved dearly.
Per Duane’s wishes, there will be no services, cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. A private family burial of ashes will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington at a later date. Memorials can be made to the BYE Ambulance in Elmwood, or Elmwood Fire Department, or to The Salvation Army in Peoria. To leave online condolences please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
