Kenneth "Ken" L. Miars

Kenneth “Ken” L. Miars passed away peacefully at his home in Peoria, IL, on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Prior to moving to Peoria, Ken resided in Yates City and Elmwood, IL. Ken was born June 13, 1971, in Peoria, IL, to Carl and Beverly (Cox) Miars.

Ken is survived by his spouse Jeff; three boys Dravin, Dalein, and Keylon Schutz; his grandson, Kyrie Shutz; and his brother, Brian (Lisa) Miars.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents. Ken was a Farmington High School graduate, Class of 1989.

Ken was fortunate to have a career he loved working in the health care industry. Ken’s most recent position for the past six years was Manager of Market Development covering multiple states for LTC Support Services of Galesburg, IL. Ken also worked as a part-time paramedic for B.Y.E. Ambulance for a number of years, in addition to his other full-time positions as a Case Manager and also in Marketing for several other companies within the health care industry earlier in his career.

Cremation rights have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Imago Dei Church, located at 2221 N. Gale Ave. Peoria, IL, 61604. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Following the service, a meal will be provided at the church.
