Allen Lee Stout

Allen Lee Stout, 33, of Glen Carbon, IL., formerly of San Jose, Il passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was born on August 21, 1989 in Pekin to Kevin and Debra (Umphryes) Stout they both survive.

Also surviving are his brother Aaron (Brooke Glore) Stout, his maternal grandmother Sharon Umphryes, paternal grandmother Merlene Stout, his favorite companion his pup Luna. He was preceded in death by his grandpas; Lee Umphryes and Dale Stout.
Allen graduated from Illini Central High School in 2008 he loved his school and the Cougars, he graduated from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville in 2013. Growing up he was a member of the Emden Christian Church and volunteered for the San Jose Fire Department for 5 years. He worked as a producer for Bally Sports Midwest. Allen Loved the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and the Michigan State Spartans.
As a behind-the-scenes guy, spotlights weren't his preference, but he and his younger brother Aaron were always the focal point of their parents, Kevin and Debbie. Kevin and Debbie naturally instilled in their boys a willingness to help others and to quietly let your servitude speak for itself. This seamlessly fostered early forays into service to others in earning a role as a volunteer for the San Jose Fire Department alongside Kevin. More early evidence of a gift for lifting others is witnessed by his passion for St. Jude and his personal investment for his dear friend Jessie, whom he never forgot after she donned her angel wings.
Allen had a natural openness for creating friendships that crossed generational boundaries because he truly saw every person. In the midst of a social scene, his laugh was infectious and invited others to ease into comfortable camaraderie. Because of his jovial character, his social and professional friendships blurred into ties akin to family.
As a true child of the American Midwest, Allen grew up in the heart of Cubs vs Cardinals country and his love of all levels of the game was pure. He found as much joy cheering on his younger cousins in prep leagues as he did rooting for web gem creating All-Stars; however, his true calling would be in crafting the nuances that are the magic of televised sports. Most youth baseball players' diamond dreams are big plays in The Show; however, Allen lived his major league life's goal of actually creating The Show and highlighting the flash of others in the Blues and Cardinals organizations of St. Louis. His self-effacing nature blossomed into the knack for showcasing the talent of others in his role as a producer for Bally Sports Midwest: a title he wore with humble pride.
Although Allen preferred to point the lens on others, the gentle influence he had on others was evident as the support for him flooded in when it was his turn to be elevated. The players in Allen's Life have been left with an indelible mark of gratitude tinged with grief and we can all be assured he may have had a giggle with the words: Good Show, everyone.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the San Jose United Methodist from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
