He was born December 5, 1937 at Canton the son of Cleo C. and Mabel J. (Smith) Keime. He married Mary R. Zimmerman on September 28, 1963 at Prairie City. She survives. Also surviving are five children, Randy Keime of Peoria, Roger Keime of Collinsville, Richard A. Keime of Cuba, LeTrisha Keime of Cuba, and James C. (Kanaan) Keime of Cuba, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
Richard worked in the parts department at Caterpillar in Morton retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Smithfield Church if the Nazarene, and the UAW Local 974. He enjoyed working on vehicles at home in his garage.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday September 21st at Howard Cemetery rural Smithfield with Reverend Mike Arnett officiating. The family will plan a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois.
