Glasford - Ann Schoon, 89, of Galsford, passed away, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Red Oak Estates in Canton. She was born on January 24, 1933, in Canton, to Vincent and Catherine (Fraune) Geier. They preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband John Schoon, whom she married on March 24, 1953. Also surviving are two children Jim (Susan) Schoon of Tucson Arizona, and Pam (Matt) Price of Congerville Illinois, three sisters, Mary McCoy, Helen McCloskey, and Rosie Shawgo, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also preceding her in death are three children, Valorie Schoon, Cheryl Knussman, John D. Schoon, three brothers, Bill, Carl, and Joe Geier, and one sister Gert Schoon. Ann retired from Caterpillar after 41 years of service she lastly handled product transportation. She was a proud farm wife, and enjoyed volunteering for the Men's Ministry in Peoria, where she would prepare meals. She also enjoyed donating blood through the American Red Cross. Ann loved quilting, and all different kinds of arts and crafts, she also was an avid collector of Hallmark Christmas ornaments. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Trivoli United Methodist Church in Trivoli. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the services.
