Emily Ann Cleer

Canton- Emily Ann Cleer, 79, of Canton, went to be with the Lord at 6:27 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on April 11, 1943 in Troy, New York, a daughter of Harris Martin and Elizabeth (Hardin) Sullivan. She married the love of her life Ray Cleer on July 31, 1976 in Port Washington, Wisconsin. He survives.


Also surviving are one daughter Laura E. (Mark) Flack of Port Washington, Wisconsin; three step-daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Loeffelholz of Springfield, Illinois; Colleen (Rick) Vehovc of Mechanicsburg, Illinois; Crystal (Jeff) Bossaller of Columbia, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jeffery (Mel) Hand of Hornsassa, Florida; Robert Parker of Hudson, Florida; Lucretia (Justin) Herrli of White Pigeon, Michigan; James (April) Parker of Hudson, Florida; Evan Vehovc, and Nicci Vehovc, both of Mechanicsburg, Illinois, and 13 great-grandchildren.


Emily was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Harris M. Sullivan.


She worked as an Administrative Assistant in Wisconsin and Florida School Districts, was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton, a member of the Eastern Star, and very active with Canton Main Street.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Rev. Dr. Shalom Renner will officiate. Burial will take place in Locust Lane Cemetery following the services.
