Zada Adell Lasco

Peoria- Zada Adell Lasco, 97, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born in Peoria on June 30, 1924 to Joseph Russell and Alice June (Perrin) Kuck Sr. She graduated Peoria High School and worked as a bookkeeper at a local trucking company until 1949. As a member of the USO during WW2, she helped organize events for the military. She met Leonard A. Lasco Sr. at a USO dance at Camp Ellis. They married November, 1946 in Peoria. He preceded her in death.


Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Joe Kuck II, and one sister, Nancy Lawrence.

She is survived by her brother John Kuck (Laura) and four children: David Lasco of Canton, Candance (Thomas Yost) Lasco of Indianapolis, Christopher (Diane) Lasco of Kansas City, Leonard (Karyn) Lasco Jr. of Fishers, Indiana, as well as 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

When her children were young, she was active in PTA and Boy Scouts. Zada was one of the founders and Directors of Common Place. She walked to support Komen. In addition to her family, she loved traveling and her cats. Zada also enjoyed the symphony, theater, sewing and reading.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia, Illinois. Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville is in charge of arrangements.
