Canton-William David Walters, 85, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
He was born on June 17, 1933 in Fulton County, IL to Glen and Thelma (Bybee) Walters. They preceded him in death.
He married Jackie O’Brien in 1994.
Surviving are his children, Debbie (Jesse) Wallace of Texas, Sandy Walters of Missouri, Beverly (Rich) Phiel of Missouri, Chris Walters of Norris, several step children and nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death are four brothers.
Bill served in the U.S. Army. He later owned and operated Walters Oil Company. He was a member of Farmington Legion and enjoyed woodworking.
Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes and a burial of the ashes will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10 am.
Oaks-Hines Funeral home has been entrusted with arrangements.
