Clara Alice Glad

Canton – Clara Alice Glad, 96, of Canton, passed away Thursday July, 5, 2018 at Graham Hospital in Canton..

She was born on February 16, 1922 in Pekin, to George and Nellie Woodworth. They preceded her in death.

She married Swanimer “Bill” Glad on August 17, 1940 in Lewistown, he preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Jean (Fred) Karn of Kearney MO, and Jack (Carole) Glad of St. Cloud FL, four grandchildren, Laurie Otto, Shawn Karn, Matthew Glad and John Glad, Eight great grandchildren, Melissa Day, TJ Otto, Cameron Karn and Megan Karn, Cody Glad, Ryan Glad, Kyle Glad and Cory Glad, one great great granddaughter Briona Young, and two sisters, Ver Neal De Golyer and Linda Frazier.

Also preceding her in death are her brothers George and Louie and one great grandson Christopher young.

Clara was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary, and St. Mary’s Food Pantry, she also loved to dance.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton. A visitation will be held on Monday July 9, 2018, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton.

Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Canton.

Memorials may be made out to the St. Mary’s Food Pantry.
