Charlene Miller


Cuba-Charlene Miller, 79, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Red Oaks Memory Care in Canton.

She was born on March 11, 1939 in Fulton County to George “Gaylord” and Irene (Cluts) Reneau.  They preceded her in death.

She married Ronald “Gene” McConkey and later married Eldon Miller.

Surviving are two children Deborah (Michael) Duckworth of Versailles, KY, Mark (Teresa) McConkey of Fairview, step children, Stan (Lori) Miller, Landon (Trish) Miller, Deeda (Troy) Williams, Janiene (Mike) Keene, Tamrah (Matt) Tenhaeff, four grandchildren, Amanda (Ben) Dennison, Clay (Julia) McConkey, Blake (Presley) McConkey, Steven (Annie) Duckworth, nine step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother, Kenneth Reneau and one sister Gladys Foote.

Also preceding her in death is one infant son Bradley Michael McConkey.  She graduated from Cuba High School in 1956, later graduated from Graham Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at Graham Hospital in Canton.  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was on the District Council of Aging and its Tuesday Morning Prayer Group.  She also was active in the Cuba and Fairview Women’s Club.

A private family graveside service will be held at Shields Chapel Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.

Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton has been entrusted with services.

Memorials may be made to Red Oak Memory Care or Graham Hospital PCU.
