Canton – Vicki D. Hughes, 76, of Canton, passed away at 8:15 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her residences. She was born on November 14, 1941 in Canton to George Douglas and Darlene Emeline (Brown) Camper. She married Richard Hughes in June of 1992 in Lewistown, IL, he survives.
Also surviving are six children, Connie Kelly of TX, Chris Jenkins of AR, Robin (Ross) Walters of Bryant, IL, Richard “Richie” (Erin) Hughes of Cuba, IL, Brian (Cherra) Hughes of Canton, IL, and Tim (Wendy) Marvel of Bloomington, IL; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charles Jenkins, two grandchildren, and one brother.
Vicki retired from Kroger’s. She was a past member of Modern Woodmen and Ladies Club in Dunfermline. Vicki loved crocheting, watching her husband and grandson play music, and going on getaways with her husband. She was also an avid Cardinals Fan. Vicki’s greatest joys in life were being happy and laughing and also loving and caring for her family. She was always the one who kept the family together.
