Canton- Helen L. Hezlep-Capranica, 84, of Canton passed away at 9:40 PM Sunday January 21, 2018 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born November 14, 1933 in Edina, MO; the daughter of James A. and Mary (O’Rourke) McKenzie. She married Robert Hezlep in 1955. He died in 1991. She later married Andy Capranica and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Ramona Lynn Hezlep, four brothers, and one sister. Surviving are three sons, Mike Roberts, Steve (Deb) Hezlep of Metamora and Alva Hezlep also of Metamora, and four grandchildren.
Helen was an accountant. She started her career at Black Chevrolet in Lewistown. She continued with accounting and became office manager at S&W Ford which became John Bearce Ford in Washington. She also worked as office manager at S&K Chevrolet and Mike Murphy Ford. She was an avid golfer. Bookkeeping and golfing were the main part of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Kim Grosclaude officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown.
