Kenneth Michael Landon

Farmington – Kenneth Michael Landon, 47, of Farmington, passed away at 1:30 AM on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on July 12, 1970 in Canton to William “Bill” and Donna M. (Meminger) Landon.

Surviving are his parents, Bill and Donna; two brothers, Todd (Kelli) Landon of Hanna City, and Joe (Wendy) Landon of Burleson, TX; niece and nephew, Addyson and Ben of Burleson, TX; three aunts; four uncles; and several cousins.

Ken was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents and one aunt, Jane.

Ken was employed at HGS starting on the phones when it was Ruppman and moving up to a trainor/manager. He was member and on the church board of Smithville Bible Church. He was program director at the Faith Bible Camp directing the 8-10-year-old group, directing this past week, and was also on the Faith Bible Camp board. He loved his family, church, friends, and particularly Faith Bible Camp in Yates City. He started as a day camper at age 8 and came up to become a counselor and then a vital part of the camp ministry. He gave his skills in photography, teaching, knowledge of computers and electronics, but most particularly his gift of music. He was a talented singer, song writer, and instrumentalist. Through his music he touched thousands of people. You could always count on him for a smile or a joke and he always looked for the best in people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Evangelical Free Church, 1300 E Chestnut St., Canton, IL. Rev. Keith Webster will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Smithville Cemetery in Rural Hanna City, IL. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Evangelical Free Church in Canton.
