Mary A. Roberts


Havana- Mary A. Roberts, 91, of Havana, passed away at 8:40 PM Monday April 24, 2017 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.

She was born September 26, 1925 at Sepo, IL; the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Stufflebeam) Hurley. She married James E. Roberts on June 21, 1946 at Pekin. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, James H. Roberts, and John C. Roberts, one great grandson, Morgan Ailes, and two brothers, John Hurley, and Dennis Hurley. Surviving are three chidren, Mary Jo (Marshall) Black of Canton, Joseph R. (Pamela) Roberts of Pekin, and Jodi A. (David) Pascal of Winnebago, IL; one daughter in law, Barbara A. Roberts of St. David, six grandchildren, Tina, Tellia, Juli, Amy, Andy, and Keri, one step grandchild, Corey, nine great grandchildren, Jorey, James, Meagan, Kirsten, Nick, Makynna, James, Leah, and Emma, and one great great grandchild, Myla.

Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana, and was devoted to her church and faith. She was a member of the Havana VFW Auxiliary. She cherished her family and friends and always wanted to help those less fortunate. She enjoyed traveling around Fulton and Mason counties listening to country music

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havana. Burial will be in Maryville Cemetery at Bryant. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 PM with a rosary service at 4:30 PM at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.
