FARMINGTON– Thomas E. “Gene” Chatten, 77, of Farmington, passed away at 3:42 AM on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Farmington Country Manor. He was born on December 16, 1938 in Peoria to Thomas W. and Margaret Garlish Chatten.
Surviving are three children, Michael (Tamara) Chatten of Farmington, Timothy (Tammara) Chatten of Yates City, and Scott (Dee) Chatten of Morris; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dick (Carol) Chatten of Farmington and Larry (Sheila) Chatten of Farmington.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Gene worked as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Farmington Odd Fellows.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Rev. Dr. Linda Philabaun will officiate. Cremation rites have been established with Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Memorials can be made to the donor’s choice.
