Canton – Marc Matthew Hobbs, 45, passed away at 1:22 AM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home. He was born in Decatur, IL, on September 5, 1970 to Earl Wesley and Roberta Jane (Kumer) Hobbs. He graduated from Lewistown High School and Attended Western Illinois University. Marc married Regina Marie Sheridan on April 12, 1992 in Lewistown, IL. Regina preceded him in death on January 5, 2009.
He was also preceded in death by his father, maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.
Marc is survived by his mother, Roberta; children, Marcus Earl, Christopher Andrew and Madeline Elizabeth; brother Brian (Marcha) Hobbs; sisters Rebecca Hobbs, Melissa (Ken) McClain, Melinda (Jamie) Donaho; his grandmother Sally Krulac, several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles in his extended family.
Marc loved his children and family and loved to travel. His favorite place to be was Lima, Peru.
Memorial visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at a later date.
