Dorothy VanEtten



Lewistown- Dorothy M. VanEtten, 89, of Lewistown and formerly of Havana passed away at 10:14 AM Thursday February 19, 2015 at her home.

She was born December 21, 1925 at Enion, IL; the daughter of Alexander and Mable (Brillhart) Howe. She married Franklin G. VanEtten Jr. on June 2, 1946 at Havana. He died April 1, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Alan VanEtten, one brother, and one sister. Surviving are two sons, Edward (Tracy) VanEtten, of Mountain Home, ID; and Timothy (Lanette) VanEtten of Havana, three daughters, Mary (Warren) Berkley of Lewistown, Carrie VanEtten of Rock Hill SC; and Lori (Greg) Bainter of Portage, WI; one sister, Norma (Gordon) Weber of Macomb, 11 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.  

Dorothy was a homemaker and had volunteered for many organizations including Mason District Hospital auxiliary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Havana and was also a 50 year member of Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Jame Hahs officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown.
