Stephanie E. Neikirk

Stephanie Elizabeth Neikirk, 31, of Decatur passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2023. She was born on November 5, 1991 in Peoria, Illinois to Jeffrey Neikirk and Pamela (Harvey) Babbs.

Stephanie is survived by her infant daughter Lennox Gene, her parents Pamela (Robert) Babbs of Greenview, Jeffrey (Tanya Muhich) of Manito, siblings: Cory (Madison Embry) Neikirk of Easton, Tori Babbs (Andrew Renfrow) of Atlanta and Bruce Babbs of Springfield, maternal grandmother Sheryl Babbs of Lincoln, paternal grandmother Carolyn (Theis) and Cecil Carpenter of Morton and Phyllis Neikirk of Waco, TX and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents Gene and Nadine Harvey and Marc Neikirk.
Stephanie’s greatest joy was her daughter Lennox. She also enjoyed “hanging out” at the river where she would be one of the first ones in the boat to run nets, check bank poles or watch Tori and the guys check boxes. Stephanie also enjoyed being with her family and friends in the shop or around a fire. She was so excited to become an aunt to baby Renfrow.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM. A visitation will be held on Saturday two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Lennox in care of Robert and Pamela Babbs.
