Richard "Dick" Huff
Richard “Dick” Huff, 87, of Canton, passed away, April 20, 2023, at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on March 2, 1936, in Macomb to Ralph and Mildred (Ross) Huff. They preceded him in death along with one brother Frank. Dick is survived by Martha (Simpson) Huff, whom he married on June 17, 1956 in Canton. Also surviving are two children, Randol (Diana) Huff of Lewistown, Rebecca (Scott) Reffett of Johns Creek Georgia, six grandchildren, Rylan, Dr. Ross, and Rhiana Huff, and Nick (Alyssa), Jake and Grant Reffett, and one great granddaughter, Charlotte Reffett. Dick owned and operated Huff Real Estate in Canton for over 50 years. He later retired from Maloof Reality in Canton. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, previously Canton Country Club, and Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club. He also was a member of Ducks Unlimited, where he was very involved with starting the local chapter. Dick enjoyed golfing, waterfowl hunting, all of his hunting dogs, and taking his grandchildren fishing. Most of all Dick loved being outdoors in nature where he enjoyed seeing wildlife, especially owls, and oak, sycamore, and buckeye trees. Throughout his childhood and adult life he enjoyed spending time around in Big Creek Park in Canton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley united Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Burial will immediately follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
