Catherine Schaad

Catherine S. Schaad, 49, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 12:14 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at The Loft in Canton, IL. She was born on September 1, 1973 in Macomb, IL, the daughter of Frank and Nancy (McDonald) Hite.

She is survived by her fiancé, David Belville of Astoria, 2 sons, Alex Schaad of Bellmead, TX and Will Belville of Astoria, mother, Nancy Hite of Industry, IL, 2 step-sons, Abe (and Alisha) Belville of Astoria and Jordy (and Shelby) Belville of Petersburg, IL, 4 step-daughters, Erica (and Bo) Peterman and Isabelle (and Matt) Slaughter, both of Astoria, Olivia (and Doug) Phillips of Plymouth, IL and Niki Davis of Centerville, IA, 9 step-grandchildren, her sister Sarah (and Anthony) Pascucci of McHenry, IL, and her brother William ‘Joe’ (and Tammy Caldwell) Hite of Industry, IL.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Frank Hite.

She enjoyed crafting, gardening and music. She loved her family dearly.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matt Haberman will officiate. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Camp Emmanuel in Astoria.
