Donald Wilcoxen, Jr.

Donald Wilcoxen Jr., 92, of Canton, passed away at 9:24 am, Monday, April 10, 2023 at his residence. He was born on March 1, 1931 in Little America to Donald and Louise (Lindsey) Wilcoxen Sr. Don married Beverly Sutton in Marion, IL. in 1984. She survives along with three children; Cindy Schoenheider, Vickie Hale and Don Nichols, brother Leon Wilcoxen, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son David Wilcoxen and two brothers; Jack and Jay.

Don worked as a Police Officer in Canton for 16 years. He also operated charter flights in Mt. Vernon. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Canton. Don was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorial service will be held at 11 am, Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Evangelical Free Church of Canton, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial of ashes will take place in Salem-Wilcoxen Cemetery in rural Bryant at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Evangelical Free Church.
