Ronald Himmel

Ronald “Ronnie” V. Himmel, 80, of Manito passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at OSF Richard L.

Owens Hospice Home. He was born on November 23, 1942 in Pekin to Virden and Anita (Woiwode)
Himmel. On October 31, 1964 in Groveland he married Galine Sindle who survives.
Ronnie is also survived by 2 children: Tim (Jackie) Himmel and Gina Miller both of Pekin, 2 brothers:
Robert Himmel of Havana and Lindy Himmel of Forest City and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his daughter Cindy Dow.
He was a 1960 gradute of Forman High School. Ronnie was a talented carpenter. He retired as a
Journeymen Carpenter from River City Union Corporation.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2023
at Maas Hurley Funeral Home in Manito. Memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Richard L.
Owens Hospice Home. Maas Hurley Funeral Home in Manito is in charge of the arrangements.
