He was born on November 18, 1941 in Beardstown to Elden and Margaret (Roberts) Keeran.
He married Karen Hoover on April 28, 1973 in Long Beach, CA. She survives along with two children, Edward (Angie) Keeran of Canton, Kari Keeran of Canton, three grandchildren, Tyler, Austin and Addison Keeran.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy and later worked for Corporate Clean at Spoon River College. He was active in the Boy Scouts, P & O Band Club and was known for his set building skills for the Canton High School plays.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 5-7 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
