Canton- Martha Jane Walters, 88, of Canton, passed away at 2:25 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born on April 24, 1934 in Fulton County to James and Mabel (Roberts) Weaver. Martha married Roy Walters on May 31, 1959 in Canton. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2004 along with her parents, one brother Bud and five sisters; Blanche, Geraldine, Ellamae, Betty and Sharon.
Surviving are two sons; Steve (Andi) Walters and Curtis (Betty) Walters both of Canton, three grandchildren; Rayce Rumler, Tiffany (David Contreras) Cox and Rebecca (Eric) Glenn and one great-grandchild Caden Contreras.
Martha worked at Graham Hospital and also at the Canton Overall Factory. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton.
Family graveside services will be 11 am Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life from 2-5 pm April 29, 2023 at the Official Time Out in Canton. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association or to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton are in charge of arrangements.
