Judie L. Gorsuch

Judie L. Gorsuch, 70, of Astoria, IL, passed away at 4 am on Monday, January 2, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on February 3, 1952 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Nellis Clyde and Nellie (Baxter) Fouts. Judie married John Gorsuch on June 13, 1970 in Summum, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are her 3 sons, Andy (and Marcy) Gorsuch of Astoria, Jonathan (and Melissa) Gorsuch of Ipava, IL, and Chris (and Melissha) Gorsuch of Denver, CO, daughter, Michelle (and Billy) Test of Roby, MO, 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Janet Hazzard of Astoria and Lana (and Pete) Hendrickson of Blodgett, OR.

She is preceded by her parents and sister, Jenny Lynn Fouts.

Judie worked as a secretary at Lewistown Ag for 15 years.

Judie volunteered at the Women’s Crisis Center hotline for several years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, crafting and scrapbooking. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She also loved all animals.

Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Matthew Thiner will officiate. A visitation will take place from 9 to 11 am on Saturday, January 7. Interment will be in the Astoria Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Women’s Crisis Center in Canton, IL.
