David M. Sherpinsky

David M. Scherpinsky, 79, of Springfield formerly of Mason City passed away at his home on Thursday, December 29, 2022. He was born on April 27, 1943 in Newberry, MI to Adolph and Helen (Schultz) Scherpinsky. On October 27, 2017 in Springfield he married June Ratz who survives.

David is also survived by 4 children: Edward (Margaret) Scherpinsky of Mekinock, ND, Denise Dineen of Springfiled, Sherly (Martin Warden) Scherpinsky of Springfield, David (Ruby) Scherpinsky of Pleasant Plains, 5 grandchildren: Jeremy Dineen, Christine Crawford, Aaron Crawford, Tyler Sullivan, Owen Scherpinsky, 1 great-granddaughter Mya Dineen and his sister Daisy Otting of Fennville, MI. He was preceded by his parents, first wife Shirley in 2004, his grandson Justin Scherpinsky in 2013 and 11 siblings.
He Retired from National By-Products in Mason City. When David and Shirley lived in Mason City they enjoyed attending church service at the Community Chapel. He liked to be outdoors deer hunting and fishing, loved country music and liked finding the best deals at all the local grocery stores.
