Lewistown- Dolores J. Edwards, 95, of rural Lewistown passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Red Oak Estates in Canton.
She was born June 7, 1927 at Collinsville, IL; the daughter of Charles J. and Ruby Louise (Dugan) Goetz. She married Dewey J. Edwards on October 16, 1951 at Peoria. He died December 21, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are two daughters, Dale “Jeannie” (Craig) Hand of Lewistown, and Debby Sanders of Lewistown, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Dolores worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as a clerk for 25 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church at rural Lewistown. Dolores enjoyed mowing her yard, crocheting, embroidering, and canning. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and Sunday gatherings.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. To send online condolences visit henrylange.com.
