Canton-William "Bill" Dale Stewart Jr, 59. Passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on May 1, 1962 in Canton to William D. and Bonnie (Mooney) Stewart Sr. His father preceded him in death.He married Lisa Brown on May 10, 1980 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Bonnie Puckett of Canton, three children, Carissa (Aaron) Mendenhall of Lehigh Acres, FL, Jason (Amanda) Stewart of Canton, Chelsea (Travis Pollitt) Stewart of Canton, four brothers, Scott Young Sr of Pekin, Harry "Todd" Stewart of Beardstown, Wade Stewart of Canton, Tim Lokey of Pekin, three sisters Julie Edgcomb of Henry, Pam Moyer of Cape Coral FL, Terri Dow of Sunfield, MI and six grandchildren, Chase, Presley, Ayden, Jonah, Carter and Hailey.
Bill worked as a dry wall finisher through Local #157 in Peoria and also served in the U.S. Army reserves.
He enjoyed outdoor activities including, hunting, boating, ATV riding and camping.
Most of all Bill loved being with his grandkids and family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2021 from 4-6 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton with a funeral service to follow at 6 PM. Cremation rites will follow the services.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
