She was born March 12, 1928 at Gibson Station, Oklahoma, the daughter of Orville and Stella (Jackson) Leach. She married Robert Henry Lindsey on August 4, 1945. He died January 1, 1969. She later married Ernest Leroy Brown on August 23, 1985. He died January 21, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Susie and Cathy, one brother, and four sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Gwen (Clifton) Randall of Lewistown, four grandchildren, Jamie (Zac) Royer of Rushville, Jeremy (Elisha) Osborne of Canton, Christopher Randall of Lewistown, Tim (Stephanie) Randall of West Plains, MO; and nine great grandchildren.
Irene had owned and operated the former Brown’s Nursery in Fairdealing, MO. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, and gardening.
Services will be held at 12 Noon Friday January 7, 2022 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Pastor Mike Henson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
