Canton-Billie A. Utsinger, 89, of Canton, passed away at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on April 20, 1932 in Canton, a daughter of Scott and Bernadine (Kelly) Anderson. She married Sheldon “Blink” Utsinger on June 13, 1951 in Fairview. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2014.
Also preceding her in death are her parents, and one sister, Virginia Hedden.
Surviving are her children, Kelly (Kim) Utsinger of Canton; Shelley (Kevin) Bloyd of Canton; and Kandy (Gary) Slack of Wee-Ma-Tuk.; eight grandchildren, Amber, Erika, Noel, Chase, Cole, Chris, Michelle, and Scott, six great-grandchildren, two brothers Terry (Tana) Anderson of Wee-Ma-Tuk; Scott (late Nancy) Anderson of St. David, and one sister, Sandra (Jack) Vlahovich of St. David.
She loved nothing more than spending precious time with family and friends, whether it was rival card games, boating on the river and lake of the Ozarks, visiting with friends at the VFW, and American Legion hoping to win the BIG slot, just to name a few. One thing she loved was dancing with her beloved husband Blink. They were often the last couple on the dance floor. She will forever be remembered as a loving, and caring Mom, Grandma, Sister, and friend to those she loved and those that loved her. Also, she was one hell of a noodle maker.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, where a visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the services. Rev. Jerry Sawyer will officiate. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Canton American Legion or to the Canton VFW. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. To leave online condolences or to view Billie’s DVD please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
