She was born October 14, 1945 at Peoria the daughter of Donald and Ronna (Bevard) Mitzelfelt. She married Richard Champlin on July 22, 1977 at Canton. He died May 29, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are one son, James Champlin of Fairview, one sister, Donna Eve of Canton, two granddaughters, Nicole Champlin and Tori Champlin both of Canton, two great grandchildren, Matthew Gage and Keirra Johnson, and one on the way.
Connie was a homemaker. Connie will be remembered by all that knew her as a very sweet lady. Connie loved animals in general especially cats. She enjoyed gardening and her favorite flower was roses. She loved babysitting children especially her grandchildren. She had been a caregiver for several family members. Connie enjoyed preparing meals for her family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery at rural Smithfield.
