Carolyn L. Woods

Carolyn L. Woods, 84, of Canton, passed away at 11:26 pm on January 6, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 13, 1937 in Canton to Ralph and Ada (Sexton) Wilson. Carolyn married James W. Woods. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister Joanne Crosetto.

Surviving is one son Steve (Colleen) Van Rossem of Park Ridge, two step children: Kathy (Eric) Franz of Goodfield and Mike (Judy) Woods of Haslet, TX, four grandchildren; Brian Franz, Zach (Allison) Franz, Nick (Lucinda Morris) Franz and Mike Woods, two great-grandchildren; Lili and Nora Franz and one niece Lora Fischer.
Carolyn treated her step-children, their spouses and grandchildren like her natural born family. She loved to walk and had a joy for life. She loved to socialize with everyone no matter their age. She was always willing to help others and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 30 years. Carolyn was a member of the First Christian Church in Canton. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a private graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
