Also preceding her in death is her parents, one brother, William Barnhart Jr., one granddaughter, Angel Catherine Odegaard, and one great-granddaughter, Kieley Joann Blakesley.
Surviving are her children, Steven Blakesley of Dunlap; Gordon (Mary) Blakesley of Arkansas; Angie Wheeler of Cuba; Jennie (James) Bara of Virginia; 12 grandchildren’ several great & great-great grandchildren; one brother, John Barnhart of East Peoria, and one sister, Mary Jane Hacker of Normal, Illinois.
She was a homemaker, and a faithful member to the Northwest Baptist Church in Peoria. Dee loved everyone, especially her family, she enjoyed rocking and singing church songs to her children and grandchildren. But most of was her love for her favorite candy, peanut M&M’s.
Per Dee’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. A graveside service and burial will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
